Volcanos in Ice

Volcanos in Ice

Genner, Denmark, February 2012. Walking the dog i discovered those funny volcano look alikes.

They look quite funny but it’s not a rare phenomenon. The reason why the ice is making volcanos is because of hidden stones on the bottom of the ocean.

Now it has become low water and therefor the ice is breaking.

Walking on the water

Walking on the water

Genner, Denmark, January 2012. Just arriving at my home after a wonderful week in Bad Gastein, Austria, skiing with some of my friends this akward scene took place just outside our house.

Because of high water, a kind of jetty was just covered by water, and the swans seemed to enjoy this spot in the sun. They kept coming back all day.

Maybe they felt like Jesus?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Genner, Denmark, January 2012. First picture in 2012 and I actually caught the firework at the right moment. That might mean a lucky year to come.

Hope you survived new years eve and is having fun in 2012.

An expensive pleasure

An expensive pleasure

Hamburg, Germany, December 2011. Yesterday we went on a daytrip to Hamburg for shopping and visiting the huge christmas market in the city.

During our citywalk we walked through the city hall. A gigantic building with the most beautiful adornments. Compared to the town hall in the nearest big town in my area, this building was huge.

How much do they spend on maintenances?

Happy new years to everyone. Take care of yourself and others and we’ll see again in 2012!

Christmas without snow, no go.

Christmas without snow, no go.

Well, well, well….

It’s been very long time since my last post, and this time I mean very long time.

The holiday has been spent together with family and friends, eating good food and having some nice presents so I have actually been quite busy sometimes, and that’s why I haven’t posted.

This christmas has been very boring in my opinion, without snow, there’s no christmas and snow didn’t visit Denmark.

So I choose to share some good memories from 2010, where whole Denmark was covered in snow. It caused a lot of trouble, delays and accidents, but it was worth it. It was so comfortable!

Happy holidays to all of you!

Lake View

Lake View

Genner, Denmark, november 2011. This picture was taken during the last days of november, while there was still some leafs on the trees. Now the weather in Denmark has turned into gray and rainy weather it’s getting colder outside.

Now I just look forward to winter and snow, so I can go skiing.

What do you prefer? – summer and hot, or winter and snow?

Stairway To Heaven

Stairway To Heaven

Genner, Denmark, December 2011. Hey folks. It’s been a while since my last post, and I’m sorry, but don’t worry I am still here.

Today’s photo is taken as an honor of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven”, a song I find very nice.

I have been looking for this scenario to show up, for a long time and finally today it showed up while I was walking the dog, but i didn’t wear my DSLR so this photo is taken with my iPhone 4.

Hope you like it!

If you don’t know the song, you should give it a try!

Walking around the inlet of Flensborg

Walking the streets of Havana

Havana, Cuba, October 2011. While visiting Cuba I used a lot of time taking photographs, and this is one of them.
